Multi-Perm machines

The Multi-Perm instruments from the European manufacturer Extrasolution are the top-of-the-line devices in our range of permeation testers. Multi-Perm instruments are the only devices on the market based on patented technology that perform permeability measurements for two or three different types of gas. Multi-Perm is available with two or three sensors for oxygen, carbon dioxide, or water vapor. This allows Multi-Perm to characterize the barrier properties of the film using two different gases while testing the exact same surface without having to replace the sample.

Multi-Perm devices with a single measurement chamber can even be equipped with three sensors to form a Triple-Perm system for O2, CO2, and H2O. These devices can measure plastic films, single- or multi-layer barrier films—whether metallized, surface-coated, laminated, or co-extruded—particularly for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and electronic packaging.

Multi-Perm not only performs permeability tests on thin films but can also be equipped with modular accessories to perform measurements on various types of packaging containers, such as bag-in-box, PET bottles, and packaging.

Multi-Perm is the ideal solution for companies that manufacture or use barrier packaging and want the highest performance in a single device at competitive prices.
